Michael B. Nichols, MD
Dr. Nichols received his Bachelor of Engineering, magna cum laude with honors at Vanderbilt University School of Engineering in Nashville, Tennessee. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. After medical school, he completed his internship in internal medicine at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology in the Department of Radiology at Vanderbilt University and stayed at Vanderbilt to perform a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology. From 2014-2015, he was the Chief Resident of Diagnostic Radiology. During his time at Vanderbilt, Dr. Nichols participated in several medical research projects and presentations. He holds several patents for medical devices. Dr. Nichols is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society, and American College of Radiology. Dr. Nichols's favorite activities are cooking and traveling with his wife, Sarah. He is an avid auto enthusiast. In addition to being proficient in website development and computer programming, Dr. Nichols enjoys pursuing other activities including skiing, photography, and scuba diving. He also volunteers with the Nashville Chamber Public Benefit Foundation to help fight poverty and homelessness in Nashville.
