Freeman Inducted as Fellow in the American College of Radiology

NASHVILLE, Tenn., August 15, 2016 – Mark P. Freeman, M.D. was recently inducted as a fellow in the American College of Radiology (ACR). The induction took place at a formal convocation ceremony during the May ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
Recognition as a fellow is one of the highest honors the ACR can bestow on a radiologist, radiation oncologist or medical physicist. ACR fellows demonstrate a history of service to the college, organized radiology, teaching or research. Approximately 10 percent of ACR members achieve this distinction.
Dr. Freeman graduated from the University of Tennessee - Memphis School of Medicine and completed a diagnostic radiology residency at the Medical College of Virginia, where he served as Chief Resident of Radiology. Board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1986, he completed a neuroradiology fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and later received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology from the American Board of Radiology. Currently, Dr. Freeman serves as the Medical Director of Diagnostic Imaging at TriStar Summit Medical Center.
